This position reports to: Greenville Assistant Campus Pastor

Our Campus Kidscoast Ministry Leader is passionate about connecting our kids, nursery through 5th grade, to Jesus by bringing the vision of the ministry to life!
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Bring Inspiration to the Vision of Kidscoast

  • Carry out the vision of the Childrens ministry by leading Kidscoast at the campus level to help children learn about God and who He created them to be
  • Partner with parents as the primary spiritual leaders of their children by fostering trust, encouragement, and shared ownership of each child’s faith journey
  • Oversee Kidscoast operations required to create life transforming opportunities for children and families, and investing in volunteers
  • Recruit and develop the Kidscoast Dream Team by investing in (volunteer) leaders, particularly Small Group Leaders
  • Learn curriculum provided by Kidscoast Program Coordinator and equip Service Coordinators and Small Group Leaders to implement in childrens services ensuring all cue sheets and printed materials are available
  • Prepare all Kidscoast environments for weekend services, ensuring check-in systems, Roku TVs, lighting, music, and all curriculum and classroom supplies are ready and functioning
  • Create a standard of clean, stocked, and decorated classrooms with safety and security procedures in place for each classroom and check in areas and ensure all children have tags with parent call numbers
  • Lead campus specific opportunities for kids such as ‘Family Movie Nights’, 'Date Night with a Purpose’ and other events developed in conjunction with campus leadership
  • Lead weekly Kidscoast campus meeting to discuss weekend and calendar; inform volunteers by sending a weekly reminder schedule; connect with campus staff and volunteers to encourage, support, or review individual goals and expectations
  • Recruit and train volunteer and team members; meet new volunteers to ensure Kidscoast vision buy-in, explain policies, procedures, and complete necessary paperwork (Background check and Leadership Application)
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective conversations when needed to help volunteers grow and align with Kidscoast values and expectations
  • Plan, organize, staff, and lead KidsCamp at the campus
  • Lead volunteer appreciation activities including birthday and thank you cards, food while serving, special dinners, or outings
  • Proactive communication with the campus about what Kidscoast is learning and to recognize faithful volunteers (monthly newsletter, social media post, etc); follow up on connect cards with Ministry Platform; respond to all emails and phone calls; write welcome letters to new children
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of childcare for ministry and campus events, ensure adequate staff by coordinating with ministry personnel; reserve rooms and set up check-in

 

Administrative Duties

  • Use Ministry Platform to create events and groups for check-in and communication of weekend services, events, and childcare
  • Follow up with incident reports when there is an incident involving blood, head injury, or personal conflict with kids or parents, within 3 days with a personal phone call
  • Partner with parents by building trusting relationships and communicating clearly and proactively about their child’s experiences, behavior, spiritual growth, and ways families can continue faith conversations at home
  • Work with Campus Pastor to establish budget and monitor on a monthly basis; reconcile monthly credit card statements properly coding each purchase
  • Communicate use of building by reserving space for events and meetings and managing Seacoast website events
  • Ensure all Kidscoast environments follow Seacoast safety, security, and child-protection policies at all times

 

Weekend Duties

  • Oversee service flow, including worship, lesson and small group for childrens group; set up check-in stations; ensure all classrooms are staffed with volunteers; and track and report children and volunteer attendance
  • Lead volunteer team in time of prayer before children arrive
  • Special duties: Visit Next Steps class to share about Kidscoast volunteer opportunities; Connect with Won by One families to discuss most inclusive Sunday service options; Assist with any first aid as needed and complete incident report; Coordinate Baby/Child dedications and family baptism celebrations

 

Team Player

  • Attend weekly Campus meeting; attend 1on1 meetings set by Assistant Campus Pastor; attend monthly All-Staff meeting as often as possible
