This position reports to: North Charleston Campus Pastor

Hours: Full-time 40 hours/weekly
The mission: Seacoast Church goes all out in our mission to help others Find God, Grow their Faith, Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference. The e3 mentoring ministry is designed to come alongside families to provide support to at-risk students in middle and high school by providing them with a mentor to help build important life skills. The goal is for God-ordained relationships between mentors and students to flourish and grow in a one-on-one basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the vision for the E3 Ministry at the North Charleston Campus
    • Create, develop and maintain a comprehensive youth mentoring ministry that connects at-risk middle and high school students with dedicated and encouraging mentors
    • Communicate and cast vision for the program both for students and for potential mentors
    • Attend Custom Ministry events, develop relationships with students and identify potential at-risk students
    • Partner with parents and families to encourage students to join the E3 Mentoring program
    • Establish quarterly goals and objectives to grow the ministry and maintain a healthy and thriving program
    • Coordinate and execute quarterly events for e3 mentors and mentees, including e3's end of year celebration
    • Manage Single Moms ministry events, supporting needs as they arise, and developing dream team leaders for support
    • Organize e3 Giving Tree Christmas event
    • Organize e3 Christmas party
    • Develop and monitor E3 Ministry budget, stewarding resources and opportunities wisely
    • Provide pastoral care, support and connection to resources as needed to at-risk youth
  • Recruit and Develop E3 Mentor Dream Team
    • Create, implement and continuously update the training for E3 Mentors, with a focus on spiritual growth, leadership development and a successful support system for a 1:1 mentoring relationship
    • Host an in-person training event 1x each semester for mentors
    • Establish relationships with potential E3 Mentors to better identify a match between mentors and mentees
    • Manage the onboarding process, to include processing background and reference checks, of all potential mentors
    • Establish check-in rhythms to care, support and monitor progress of mentor relationships
  • Develop a partnership with Parents
    • Build a relationship with parents by sharing the vision of E3, communicating program plans and sharing 1:1 results through written or verbal avenues
    • Host meetings with parents as needed
  • Administrative Duties
    • Manage the application process for Mentors and Mentees, processing background checks and reference checks
    • Reconcile weekly expenses and manage E3 budget
  • Team Player
    • Actively participate in weekly campus meeting; attend 1-on-1 meetings with Leader; attend monthly All-Staff meeting
    • Support the goals of the Campus by demonstrating teamwork and performing other duties as requested with excellence
